The central bank NBS pays the highest average wage in the banking sector, of €2,814 last year (total labor costs, including bonuses, split into 12 months), calculated Finsider. Among banks with branch networks, SLSP paid the highest average wage in 2020 (€2,503), followed by Tatra banka (€2,124), 365.bank (€2,107) and VÚB (€2,017). Last year’s wages at SLSP might be influenced by layoffs, as the bank terminated and paid severance pay to 300 people; other banks downsized less.

Najvyššie mzdy v bankovom sektore vlani platila centrálna banka NBS, 2.814 € (celkové mzdové náklady vrátane bonusov rozpočítané na 12 mesiacov), vypočítal Finsider. Spomedzi bánk so sieťou pobočiek najlepšie platí SLSP (2.503 €), nasleduje Tatra banka (2.124 €), 365.bank (2.107 €) a VÚB (2.017 €). The state wants to build new €50m hydro power plant in Čunovo

State-run Vodohospodárska výstavba (VV) plans to invest €50m in a new hydro power plant in Čunovo, near the Gabčíkovo water dam. The power plant, with an installed capacity of 10 MW, should connect to the grid in 2026. Heneken wants to invest in Serbia and Turkey

Non-ferrous metal foundry Heneken (Michal Hudoba and Adrián Stolár) plans to invest €30m in two new aluminum processing plants in Serbia and Turkey, creating 200 jobs. The company started as a metals trader and four years ago acquired an aluminum foundry near Spišské Vlachy. The Health Ministry sent for comments a plan to set up a state-owned drug distributor mainly serving state hospitals and pharmacies. It wants to prevent the dominance of several large private distributors (the three largest players control 85% of the market) and be able to deal with crisis situations.
