Matovič wants €500 vouchers for vaccinated seniors

OĽaNO leader Igor Matovič proposed€500 vouchers for all people over 60 if they get a first or a third vaccine dose by Christmas. They will be allowed to spend the €500 vouchers only in the sectors hit by the pandemic (hotels, restaurants, gyms, etc.). Sme rodina and Za ľudí back the idea, while SaS says that the coalition has agreed on a €150 cash bonus. Opposition parties Hlas and Smer condemned the vouchers; they think the government should give away cash to seniors and not make it conditional on vaccination. It remains to be seen whether parliament okays the vouchers.
