Slovak-US startup Tachyum  (Radoslav Danilák) announced it secured $220m from a European investor to develop its new chip. The unspecified investor also committed to purchasing chips worth $500m. The chip is designed to boost AI performance and reduce costs for large language models (LLM/AI). Tachyum has raised $300m to date and plans to go public "potentially as early as 2027." UK’s Haleon is investing €55m in its toothpaste plant in Levice. Since last year, it has been transferring production from its UK plant and building a product development center there. This year, the plant is increasing production of brands such as Sensodyne, Paradontax, and Aquafresh by 25%.
