MTS keeps expanding
MTS (Juraj Habovštiak), a manufacturer of automated production lines, acquired a small competitor, Banská Bystrica-based Stanko, in the summer. It plans to move its 40 workers to a new €4m plant in Banská Bystrica that will employ 80 upon completion next year. The plant will also include a technology center with ten engineers. MTS asked for €0.3m in investment stimulus for the center. Besides its key plant in Krivá, MTS already has another plant with 40 workers in Liptovský M
New legislation will make it harder to collect unpaid debts via bailiff officers
The Justice Ministry prepared legislation that makes it harder to collect unpaid debts via bailiff officers. Now, bailiffs must leave debtors with a subsistence minimum, about €218 a month, but the new legislation sets out that debtors may keep 70% of their income. Bailiffs may seize just 30% and warn about limiting creditors’ rights. The new legislation is the idea of Sme rodina, which argues it will substantially increase the debtors’ motivation to find jobs. Nová legislatíva sťaží vymáhanie dlhov cez exekútorov
Ministerstvo spravodlivosti pripravilo legislatívu, ktorá sťažuje vymáhanie dlhov cez exekútorov. Doteraz muselo dlžníkom ostať každý mesiac po zrážkach exekútorov aspoň životné minimum, zhruba 218 € mesačne, po novom to má byť oveľa viac, 70% mzdy. Exekútori tak budú môcť zobrať iba 30% príjmov a varujú, že to zásadné obmedzí práva veriteľov. Návrh iniciovala koaličná strana Sme rodina, podľa ktorej opatrenie zásadne zvýši motiváciu dlžníkov nájsť si prácu. (sme.sk)
MTS expanduje
Dodávateľ automatizovaných liniek pre priemysel MTS (Juraj Habovštiak) koncom leta kúpil menšieho konkurenta Stanko Banská Bystrica aj so 40 zamestnancami. Okrem závodu v Krivej už má MTS aj ďalší závod so 40 ľuďmi v Liptovskom Mikuláši. (de

Wüstenrot stavebná sporiteľňa is closing down
Wüstenrot stavebná sporiteľňa, a small building savings bank, is terminating the sale of new building saving policies and the provision of loans. Instead, it is setting up Wüstenrot InHouseBroker that will sell loans and investment products. The new venture will cooperate with its sister insurer, Wüstenrot poisťovňa. The bank says building saving has been losing appeal since the state tightened conditions for its subsidy. Last year, Wüstenrot SS posted a 54% drop in net profi
Wüstenrot stavebná sporiteľňa končí
Wüstenrot stavebná sporiteľňa končí s predajom nových zmlúv stavebného sporenia a poskytovaním medziúverov. Namiesto toho bude cez novú firmu Wüstenrot InHouseBroker predávať úvery a investičné produkty. €. Zvyšní dvaja hráči

Vlani kúpil chorvátsku vagónku TŽV Gredelj a v súčasnosti kupuje výrobný závod SES Tlmače aj so 150 zamestnancami. Profituje z toho, že preprava tovarov po železnici v EÚ stúpa na úkor menej ekologickej ces
Slovakia sees no need for high-speed rail
Hungary has prepared the first feasibility study for a new rail track connecting Budapest, Bratislava, Prague and Warsaw allowing speeds of 250-320 km/h. In Slovakia, new tracks should be built between Bratislava and Kúty. It remains to be seen whether Slovakia joins the plan as the current government sees other priorities in building and renovating rail infrastructure. It may offer the existing track that is being upgraded to speeds of 200 km/h. This may mean that the high-s
Construction firms working on highways demand €40m to cover rising costs of materials
Construction companies working on highways are demanding €40m extra from NDS, the national highway company, to cover the rising costs of construction materials. About 70 km highways for €1.5bn are currently under construction. NDS is reviewing the demands and warns that meeting them might violate the public procurement legislation. Unfinished projects and construction firms’ bankruptcies are a real threat. One example of rising prices is construction iron, which got 2-3-times
