The government approved a €12m investment incentive for a €66m project by Korean company Mobis, a supplier to Kia Motors. Mobis will build a new plant in Gbeľany near Žilina by 2028, employing 300 people to manufacture airbags, brakes, and drive units for electric vehicles.
Mobis also plans a second plant in Nováky, bringing total investment to €250m across both sites. Last year, Mobis reported sales of €2bn and employed 2,000 people in Slovakia.
