ŽOS Vrútky delivered trains to ŽS Slovensko
ŽOS Vrútky, train maker controlled by Alexej Beljajev, Michal Lazar, Víťazoslav Moric, and Tomáš Chrenek, has completed the supply of 21 diesel trains for €77m to the state carrier ŽS Slovensko. The project was financed by EU funds and the state carrier only paid €2.2m. The first train was supplied in 2019, and the trains are being used in the Banská Bystrica, Žilina, and Trenčín regions. ŽS Slovensko has bought diesel trains from ŽOS Vrútky in the past and they turned out to be very unreliable. In the new contract, the maker had to commit to stringent quality guarantees.
