Zebra Technologies acquired Photoneo for €60m

US Zebra Technologies acquired Slovak 3D vision and robotics company Photoneo (Ján Žižka) for €60m, according to Forbes magazine. Manufacturing as well as product development will remain in Slovakia, while the new owner will help further growth and expansion in global markets. Photoneo was part of the Photoneo Brightpick group with a valuation of €100-200m. It will now be renamed Brightpick, retain its independence and use the proceeds from the sale to expand and develop AI robots for warehouses. So far, it has raised €47m from investors.
