VOP Nováky launched €10m ammunition filling line
Ammunition firm VOP Nováky, owned by Czech group CSG (Michal Strnad), launched a new €10m ammunition filling line. In the first phase, the new line, which has a capacity of 100,000 rounds per year, will be used to produce 120 and 122 mm ammunition for tanks and mortars. The line was supplied by the state-owned Konštrukta-Industry. Demand for the ammunition surged after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. VOP Nováky doubled its net profit to €48.8m last year and sales rose by two-thirds to €131m. For this year, it expects sales of €280m.
