Turkish Repkon is buying machinery firm Trens

Repkon, a smallish Turkish ammunition and weapons technology company, is buying the assets of the Trenčín-based engineering firm Trens from a bankruptcy trustee. The Turkish firm also supplies machinery to the US military. Trens used to produce lathes for arms factories, but later switched to machines for the civilian sector. Until recently, it had annual sales of €15m.
