Retailer Tesco has retained Citigroup and Goldman Sachs to assist with selling its assets in Slovakia, Czechia, and Hungary, Mergermarket sources say. The sale may reportedly yield €625m. The transaction will be split into two separate deals covering 363 stores in Slovakia and Czechia and 198 stores in Hungary. Potential bidders in the Czech-Slovak market include Schwarz Group (Lidl and Kaufland), alongside speculated interest from Polish chain Biedronka.
