Spending on internet advertising rose 12% in the first half
Spending on internet advertising in Slovakia rose 12% annually to €104m in the first half, IAB data show. Political campaigns―presidential and European Parliament elections―as well as a drop in inflation drove the growth. IAB expects growth of only 8% for the whole of this year in Europe. Non-video display (35%), paid-for search (20%) and video display (19%) account for the largest share of total spending. Classified ads (+24%) maintained a high growth rate, as a tight labor market generates high growth in job ads.
