Spa client numbers still a tenth below pre-pandemic level
Last year, the number of clients in Slovak spas rose by 3% to 167,200, the NCZI eHealth center reported. However, their number was still a tenth below the pre-pandemic level. Health insurers paid for 41% of patients and 59% were self-payers. There were 22,100 foreign patients, 36% less than before the pandemic, mainly from Czechia (12,000), Israel (2,500) and Germany (2,100). Adults were most often treated for mobility issues, and children for diseases of the respiratory tract.
