Slovak startups generated revenue of €770m last year and paid €86m in taxes and levies, according to SAPIE data on 495 companies. They have nearly tripled both revenue and levies since 2020 and doubled their headcount to 4,500. Just 10% of the companies generate 90% of revenue. The Bratislava region is home to 274 startups, which account for more than half of the total revenue. The sector's average wage is 20% above the national average.
