Slovnaft signed a memorandum with waste company Brantner on supplying waste to a planned incinerator in Bratislava. Brantner is to deliver non-recyclable municipal and industrial waste and also process the ash, from which it can recover up to 95%. It is the third memorandum on the project, after deals with Heneken on extracting aluminum from fly ash and with state-owned MH Teplárenský holding on using the heat. The project cleared its environmental impact assessment in July and regulators are now ruling on appeals. France's Paprec is currently buying the Brantner group.
