Slovenské elektrárne will supply electricity to households at €79/MWh in 2027

Slovenské elektrárne will supply electricity to households at €79/MWh next year under a memorandum with the state, Economy Minister Denisa Saková said. The price was €61.20 in 2023-25 and €72.70 this year. The cabinet is seeking more concessions from the company and wants an even lower price. It remains unclear whether the European Commission will allow continued blanket subsidies for households. The Commission approved this year's aid only because the government limited it to 90% of households. The exact terms of next year's subsidies have yet to be set.
