Slovakia will never reach Western European living standards

Czechia may reach the average EU standard of living in ten years, but Slovakia may never achieve it, according to fiscal watchdog RRZ. Slovakia may continue to converge over the next decade, but risks falling behind in 15 years. Low investment, high taxes, and a focus on boosting social benefits are weighing on productivity. The economy is also aging rapidly, lacks immigration, and suffers from brain drain.
