Slovakia permits exports of dual use goods to Russia and Iran, which are then used in weapons Russia employs in Ukraine. Unnamed Slovak companies export engines, bearings and IT, for instance. Customs authorities (Finance Ministry) say that the exports are not in violation of EU laws or anti-Russian sanctions. Czech authorities and secret services, though, check the export licenses for dual-use goods much more strictly and ban exports in dozens of cases every year. Slovak exports are only checked formally. PM Eduard Heger promised to look at the issue.
