Slovakia may lose €800m of EU funds for 2014-20, reckons PM Ľudovít Ódor. Slovakia still had €4.3bn left to spend at the end of May; of this, the government is to use €1.4bn to compensate high energy prices and help refugees from Ukraine. Projects for a higher amount have already been contracted, but not all of them will be carried out. Effective use of subsidies thus depends on the beneficiaries.
