Slovakia is one of the few countries where progress has been made in the fight against corruption since 2017, according to Transparency International's corruption perception index. Over 85% of countries showed almost no progress, but Slovakia moved up six places to 49th in the ranking of 180 countries and was the only country in the region to improve its score.
