Slovakia had 51 hours of negative electricity prices this year

OKTE, the short-term power market operator, has recorded 51 hours of negative electricity prices this year, up from 36 hours during the same period last year. On Easter Sunday, prices fell to -€98 per MWh, with last year’s record being -€146. Negative prices typically occur around noon, when photovoltaic output peaks and consumption is relatively low.
