Slovak firms use Kazakhstan to circumvent sanctions against Russia

Slovak exports to Kazakhstan were up by 122% annually and imports up by roughly 1,700% in the first ten months of 2022, ŠÚ reported. Slovakia's total exports rose 18% and imports 25% at the same time. Similarly, Czech trade with Kazakhstan skyrocketed following the Russian invasion, with Western firms using the country to circumvent sanctions against Russia.
