Schwarz Group (Lidl, Kaufland), Jerónimo Martins (Biedronka) and Dutch Ahold are interested in Tesco's Slovak and Czech stores, the Financial Times reported. Tesco wants to sell them separately from its Hungarian division, with preliminary bids due by the end of September. The chain has about 560 stores and 22,000 employees in the three countries.
