Slovak companies redirected exports

Slovak exports to the US in the machinery and automotive category were down 38% annually in June, ŠÚ reported. However, Slovak companies responded immediately to US tariffs by redirecting their exports. In July, total exports in this category were up 4% annually, with growth mainly to EU countries. The local automotive union ZAP points out that it is still too early to assess how Slovak companies have coped with US tariffs.
