The share of foreign investors who would not invest in Slovakia again has doubled to 36% since 2021, according to a survey by five foreign chambers of commerce. Only 3% rate the country’s economic conditions as good, while 40% consider them bad. Investors cited excessive taxes, political instability, and weak anti-corruption efforts as key negatives. Positives included EU membership, IT and energy infrastructure, and payment discipline.
