Second pandemic wave has not hit industry, only the service sector
Power consumption in Slovakia in October and November was higher under an annual comparison as the second pandemic wave has not hit industry, only the service sector. The growth was brought by large industrial companies, as the consumption was 20% higher in Western Slovakia. The consumption was also higher in the household segment, driven by home offices. SMEs are the worst off, including hotels and restaurants. During the first pandemic wage, power consumption plunged 15%.
