Romanian plastics recycler Green Group is investing €12m in Slovakia
Romanian plastics recycler Green Group is investing €12m to upgrade its existing plastics recycling technology in Banská Bystrica. It will increase annual capacity to 8,000 tons of rPET, a recycled PET that is a sustainable alternative to making food and non-food packaging. The investment is being carried out by local company Ekolumi, which Romanians acquired in 2019 and are rebranding to Greentech Slovakia. The investment will increase its staff by 50 to 150 by 2023.
