Residential property prices grow rapidly

Slovak residential property prices accelerated to 14.4% annual growth in 1Q, the fastest pace since 3Q22 and the 3rd-highest on record, ŠÚ reported based on land registry data. Prices in Bratislava surged by as much as 20%. Demand for both properties and mortgages is being driven by expectations of rising mortgage rates, and analysts forecast a slower pace of price growth for the remainder of the year.
