Prosecutor Bystrik Palovič Sr. charged with corruption

The Special Prosecutor's Office filed charges against prosecutor Bystrik Palovič Sr. He is alleged to have asked for a €100,000 bribe from Erik Mikurčík for stopping his prosecution in the Carlton hotel case. Palovič is known for his contacts with Marian Kočner and Ladislav Bašternák and has been suspended since November 2019.
