Powerful Medical received €40m from IPCEI Tech4Cure

Slovak startup Powerful Medical (Martin Herman) received €40m from IPCEI Tech4Cure, funded by the European Commission. The money will be used to accelerate its platform for early diagnosis of heart attacks. The PMcardio platform had previously been granted “Breakthrough Device” status by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Recently, a startup called Medannot, a platform for radiologists, was spun off from the company and received a $300,000 investment from the Zero One Hundred fund. Powerful Medical itself received €7.5m from the European Innovation Council.
