Power consumption is falling
Corporate power consumption was 18% lower annually in September and households’ 6% lower, Okte data show. The largest power consumer, Slovalco, is suspending production, and other large and smaller companies are investing in energy saving measures. Households have no reason to cut consumption as their prices do not change; the drop in their consumption is due to last year's pandemic, during which many people were at home and consumed more energy than usual.
