The pandemic has reduced wages in job ads, according to data of profesia.sk, a jobs portal. Employers have been offering an average wage of €1,125 in the third quarter, down 7% compared to the second quarter. Lower wages were offered in each region, at each level of education required, and in 34 of 39 sectors. The offered salaries did not fall in IT and services, though. The number of job offers rose from 28,000 in the second to 43,000 in the third quarter.
