Ferroalloy manufacturer OFZ (Vladimír Klocok) shut down production in Oravský Podzámok due to low demand in the automotive and construction sectors, high energy prices, and cheap imports from countries with weak environmental standards. This month, it plans to launch trial production in Uzbekistan, where it has relocated part of its production technology from Slovakia. In 2028, it wants to launch a new €100m plant in Angola.
