Mobile phone operator O2 plans to cover 20% of the Slovak population with its 5G network by the end of this year. Currently, it covers Bratislava and 15 nearby towns and villages. Next year, 5G will be added to regional capitals and large cities. The investment in the 5G network supplied by Ericsson will be higher than that into 4G network and will reach several tens of millions. Last year, the company's net profit stagnated at €53m. Clients of its other brands, Tesco mobile and Radosť, do not have access to the 5G network.
