Security service protectus (formerly Bonul) reported 19% growth in sales last year to €21.7m, while net profit stagnated at €1m. Under previous Smer governments, the company was controlled by Norbert Bödör and was highly successful in the public sector. Under OĽaNO governments, it lost many contracts and Austrian national Michael Schnabl became its official owner. He has long-standing ties with the former owner, and people close to the Bödör family still work for the company. Last year's growth was driven by new public contracts from Transpetrol, Železnice SR, Slovenská pošta, and Javys. PM Robert Fico makes no secret of his friendship with Bödör.
