New coalition wants to speed up the construction of strategic investment projects

Environment Minister Tomáš Taraba wants to speed up the construction of strategic investment projects such as roads and railways through a shorter environmental impact assessment process. He wants to maintain strict environmental standards, but the authorities should make decisions much faster. Together with the Transport Ministry, they will set up a new unit to deal specifically with strategic investments.
