Net Impact of Government’s Pro‑Growth Measures Seen as Zero

The net effect of the government's pro-growth measures on the economy will be zero, as the government has completely failed to grasp the seriousness of the economic situation, said Rastislav Machunka of the AZZZ business lobby group. He singled out the absence of tax cuts among the measures. KOZ labor union chief Monika Uhlerová also does not view the proposed measures as pro-growth. Economy Minister Denisa Saková agrees that the measures will have no impact on economic growth. The government will discuss tax cuts in September, following an update to tax forecasts and as part of the 2027 budget process.
