Most parties hold center-left positions on economic and conservative positions on cultural issues
Most of the relevant political parties in Slovakia hold center-left positions on economic issues and conservative positions on cultural ones, found the electoral compass of the Institute for Democracy at Matej Bel University. The only party in the right-conservative quadrant is KDH, while the right-liberal parties include PS, SaS and Demokrati. Extremists Smer and Republika have left-conservative agendas. While progressive parties tend to be center-left, PS’s economic program leans to the right.
