Moody's affirmed Slovakia's A3 rating

Moody's affirmed Slovakia's A3 rating with a stable outlook. This is the agency’s 7th-highest rating and the lowest for Slovakia since 2003. The agency noted that the rule of law and anti-corruption efforts in Slovakia are weaker than the EU average. The slow pace of fiscal consolidation will push public debt above 60% of GDP. US tariffs will reduce GDP growth this year to 1.2%, down from the agency’s previous forecast of 1.5%.
