Mobis to invest €180m in electric vehicle motors plant in Nováky

South Korean Mobis plans to invest €180m in a new plant for the production of electric vehicle motors in Nováky. The plant will create nearly 300 jobs when production starts in December 2025. Mobis is owned by carmaker Hyundai/Kia and its plant next to the Kia car plant in Žilina posted €1.8bn sales in 2022. The new plant is also likely to supply Hyundai/Kia's Slovak and Czech plants.
