Danish waste group Marius Pedersen is selling its Slovak and Czech branches. Consulting firm KPMG is assisting with buyer selection. The deal is planned for completion in 2Q26. In Slovakia, Marius Pedersen increased net profit by 10% to €7.3m last year, while revenue grew 13% to €73.2m. In both countries, it ranks No.2 on the market behind AVE group, controlled by Daniel Křetínský's EP Industries and Karel Pražák's Kaprain. The business is expected to change significantly by the end of the decade due to the planned end of landfilling.
