Major deals by Slovakia’s wealthiest individuals over the past year include the sale of 365.bank to KBC by J&T Finance Group. Another key transaction was the sale of sweets maker I.D.C. Holding (Pavol Jakubec) to Ireland’s Valeo Foods. Penta sold its Bory shopping center to Czech group ZFP. EPH doubled its stake in Slovenské elektrárne to 66%. TMR (Igor Rattaj) sold the Austrian ski resort Mallnitz Ankogel to Croatian investors, retaining the nearby Mölltaler Gletscher resort. Oszkár Világi and Ján Sabol acquired two large farms covering 18,000 hectares in Russia last year and later sold them. Sabol is building plants in India, one for railway carriage production and another for ethanol production from corn and rice.
