Kosit to build waste incinerator in Prešov

Waste management company Kosit, owned by Wood&Co, acquired a waste incineration plant project in Drienov near Prešov. The project, with planned annual production of 45 GWh of electricity and 108 GWh of heat, received a positive environmental impact assessment in January this year (applied for in 2019) and was subsequently sold by its original owners, Milan Orlovský and Ladislav Slebodník. Kosit already operates a waste incineration plant in Košice, where it obtained a permit to add a third boiler in 2023. This year, it aims to complete the supplier tender.
