EPH (Daniel Křetínský) is selling its 49% stake in energy distributor SSE, HN sources say. It bought the stake in 2013 for €400m (the state owns the remaining 51%). Suitors are already conducting due diligence in SSE. EPH and SSE declined to comment. The price tag is allegedly €1bn and the suitors include ČEZ (Czechia), MVM, Mavir (Hungary) and E.ON (Germany). In 2018-20, distributor SSE posted an average net profit of €97m on €433m sales (net profit margin of 22%).
