Ivan Kmotrík sold his 50% stake in Crystalgraf, a cardboard packaging maker from Lednické Rovne, to its other shareholder, the glass company Rona (Stanislav Biroš, Pavol Brnka, Štefan Hanák, and Peter Vačko). Crystalgraf has annual sales of €7m, has long posted zero profits, and employs 50 people.

In recent years, Kmotrík sold the Skalica hospital, TA3 news TV station, water utility service firm Infra Services, and Senica-based lighting firm OMS. He plans to retain only the most profitable companies, especially packaging manufacturer Grafobal, with plants in Slovakia, Czechia, Russia, and the Balkans. His other profitable ventures include newspaper and cigarette distribution and real estate development.
