Graduates of Slovak universities have better chances on the domestic labor market, according to a survey by the local union of branded goods SZZV. They understand local specifics and gain practical experience during their studies, while graduates of foreign universities score points for language skills and assertiveness. None of the managers surveyed said Slovak graduates performed worse in job interviews than those from abroad. They emphasized that practical experience gained alongside studies is more important than a foreign diploma. (hnonline.sk) According to Education Ministry data, graduates of foreign universities earn 9% more than domestic graduates ten years after finishing high school.
