Germany's Evonik confirmed an €80m investment at its Evonik Fermas plant in Slovenská Ľupča. The investment in fermentation-product processing will create 50 jobs once completed in 2028 and expand capacity for active pharmaceutical ingredients. The plant, which employs 260 people, posted revenue of €61.6m and net profit of €2.9m last year. It invested more than €100m four years ago in the world's first industrial production of rhamnolipids.
