German business morale fell for the first time in six months in October amid the second pandemic wave. The German Ifo institute said its business climate index fell to 92.7 from 93.2 in September. So far, the sentiment indicator is not pointing to another economic slump but clearly marks the end of the rebound and the start of double-dip fears.
