Gaming studio Pixel Federation still doing well
Gaming studio Pixel Federation (Šimon Šicko) posted a 7% increase in sales to €51m last year and its net profit stagnated at €8.3m. Back in 2019, it had sales of only €32m. The growth in sales came on the back of rising marketing spending that accounts for 40% of sales (last year: €20m). Its key markets are the USA and Germany. Its staff increased by 60 to 300 last year and it opened an office in Brno. Fully 77% of sales were generated by two mobile games: Diggy's Adventure (41%) and Trainstation 2 (36%). Last year, it released a new mobile game, Port City. Šicko estimated the company's valuation at over €100m last year.
