Fuergy launched the largest smart battery storage solution in Slovakia with a capacity of 2.7 MW

Fuergy launched the largest smart battery storage solution in Slovakia with a capacity of 2.7 MW in Banská Bystrica. It provides support services for the power grid operator SEPS. It did not specify the costs and estimated them to pay back in 3.5 years. It expects revenues of €8m and gross profit of €0.7m this year. It is backed by IAD Investment (Rastislav Daniška, Róbert Bartek and Miroslav Vester) and Energytech (Ján Mikoláš and Peter Krajčí).

SEPS expects Slovakia to have 700 MW of battery storage systems by 2040. Energy distributor ZSE plans to start construction of a 30 MW facility this year at a cost of €24-32m.
