Fitch affirmed Slovakia's rating at A- with a stable outlook

Fitch affirmed Slovakia's rating at A- with a stable outlook. It previously downgraded it last December, but now sees a stable and credible macroeconomic policy. It forecasts GDP growth of 2.5% this year, higher than the 1.6% in 2023 and almost 4-times the EU level. Next year the growth rate will accelerate to 3%. Inflation will fall to 3% this year, but will rise to 3.9% next year amid rising regulated energy prices.

Similarly, S&P left Slovakia's rating unchanged in April, and Moody's will review the rating in June.
